Nina was born on 4 July 1972 in Zagreb. She started singing when she
was only nine in children's choir Zvjezdice (Little Stars). With that
choir she traveled to many countries, recorded several albums and
gained a huge experience in choir, solo and gospel singing. At the age
of twenty she signs her first contract with Rajko Dujmic and Jasenko
Houra, goes to first Crovision and wins the eighth place with the song
Ostavljam te. Two years later, and having recorded one album Godine
nestvarne, she starts her collaboration with Zoran Skugor and goes to
London to record her second album Personality. That was to best sold
album in 1997 and 1998. She won two Porin awards,Rose of Vecernji list
and many other awards. Her version of I'm So Excited from that album
reaped her success in European countries. She was number one on pop
charts. For five months she reigned over charts in Italy, Spain and
France which makes her the only Croatian female singer who had
international success. She performed with world famous artists,
including East 17 and Joselyn Brown. Her third album Unique sold all
over former Yugoslavia, so Nina toured Bosnia and Herzegovina and ended
her tour in sold out Skenderija in Sarajevo. That year she was the most
popular Croatian singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Songs Poljubi
me,Nek' ti bude kao meni from her next album Nina became songs of the
year. Nina's 2004. album "Ljubav" (Love) won several Porin Awards and
her video was featured on MTV. In 2005 she appeared as a guest star in
a TV Sitcom "Bitange i princeze", where she showed her acting
talent.
