Actress Fernanda Fassy born in Rome in
1898. Began as a movie star at the age of 18, making her debut under
the direction of Carlo Campogalliani in 'La Serata d'onore di Buffalo'
co-starring opposite Lionel Buffalo at the Pasuali Film Co in 1916, she
played lead roles in at least 16 silent drama films, most notable as
Nadia Filippovna in Eugenio Perego's 'Il Principe Idiota' co-starring
opposite Paola Borboni at the Sabaudo Film Co in 1920. Her last silent
film was in Giovanni Pastrone's 'Povere Bimbe' with Ria Bruna for Itala
Films in 1923. She made one comeback, a character role in a talkie, 'Il
Cardinale Lambertini' directed by Parsifal Bassi and starring Ermete
Zacconi at Elios Film Co in 1934. She was never seen on screen again.
