Matthew Andrew Leung
- Actor
Matthew A Leung is a first year actor located in Lower Manhattan, with an unconventional introduction to acting. He was born and raised in Wyckoff, NJ and studied Economics and PR at Villanova University.
After graduating from Villanova, he moved to NYC in the mid 2010s and worked in several corporate fields, primarily in Data Strategy, for firms like Nielsen and Morgan Stanley before discovering acting. He discovered acting serendipitously a few years ago after suffering a life-changing leg injury from a medical procedure that forced him into a new life of limited mobility and needing to replace his passion for sports. He has, however, always shined brightest during press conferences as journalist, boardrooms as a corporate consultant, or radio shows as a host.
Still in the midst of his first year of acting, he has already booked over 50 on-screen roles that mostly include short/student films, commercials, and UGC with no prior acting experience or representation. As of Summer 2024, he began his first formal drama training at the renown Stella Adler Studio Summer Conservatory program.
His mission will always be to positively represent the underrepresented and change narratives of the past, especially portraying AAPI and ADA on-screen.
Offscreen, Matthew had always enjoyed teaching tennis, playing basketball, geography, travel, and live music/DJing. ENTP-A
