Brandon T. Bailey, 24, was born in New York City, New York. One of four children to Stephanie Bailey and Scott Troeller, he grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. It was in Montclair, more specifically his living room, where his love for film first developed: He'd watch (at least) one film every night with his mother Stephanie, who challenged him to not just enjoy the films but to understand their inner mechanisms.
Brandon would go on to attend the University of Michigan where he majored in Film and Screenwriting, winning the 2021 Hopwood Award for Best Creative Writing along the way. Brandon's thesis film, Only Trees Hear The Silence, had a cast and crew of nearly 50 students and faculty... but was unfortunately called off due to Covid-19.
After Graduating in 2021, Brandon set out to make his first film, Cici's Sonata, while working as a SAT/ACT tutor across the greater Tri-state area. He and his fellow crew members, a mix of veteran mentors and up-and-coming filmmakers, would go on to wrap principal photography in 2022, and finalize post-production in late 2023. The film is on the festival circuit.
