- Ken Williams was born on October 30, 1954 in Evansville, Indiana, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for Silpheed (1986), The Colonel's Bequest (1989) and Space Quest 1: The Sarien Encounter (1990). He has been married to Roberta Williams since November 4, 1972. They have two children.
- SpouseRoberta Williams(November 4, 1972 - present) (2 children)
- His moustache.
- Has two sons with Roberta Williams: DJ (b. 1973) & Chris (b. 1979)
- Retired from the video game industry in 1998 and nowadays spends most his time playing golf, tinkering with his computer and boating.
- Claims the Sierra games he likes best are: Leisure-Suit Larry, Space Quest and Phantasmagoria.
- He claims he founded SIerra primarily because he and his wife "wanted to live in the woods" with their stated goal in life to live in a quiet log cabin at Yosemite to raise their children.
- He and his wife mostly live in Mexico (Cabo). They also have a home in Seattle, and a boat slip in France (near Monaco).
- I am anti-censorship, but I have very different feelings about what is appropriate for a mature adult, and what is appropriate for a 10, or 13, year old child.
- It is a huge disappointment for me that Sierra died. Actually, Sierra didn't die, it was murdered.
- The Executive Producer title didn't really mean anything. I forget if it was me, or someone else, who made it up. At some point, I think we stopped using it, because it was annoying to the teams, who were the ones doing all the real work on the games. It was never a really big issue, but I could tell that they didn't like seeing someones name on the project who didn't really work as part of the team.
- Headaches dealing with people, are for me, probably a bigger reason why I never want to work again, than because I am enjoying retirement.
- My involvement was critical, but only indirectly so. I was the one who decided if a game got made, who would make it, how much money would be spent on developing the game, and how much would be spent to promote the game. Based on my understanding of Hollywood, this is not inconsistent with what a producer on a film might do.
