Jeanette Yoffe was born and raised in New York, New York. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Theatre and has performed in off Broadway theatre productions in New York and Los Angeles.
In 1999 she wrote and performed a one-woman play about growing up in foster care and adoption called, "What's Your Name, Who's Your Daddy?" which is available on Amazon and Audible. This experience led her to pursue a career in psychology with a desire to work with children in Los Angeles County, and their families.
She has a Youtube Channel with all of her educational videos called "Jeanette-ically Speaking" About Foster Care and Adoption. 2 of her videos have over 150,000 views!
In 2006 She earned her Masters in Psychology in Los Angeles, and is an expert in the field Foster Care and Adoption. She is the Executive Director and Founder of Celia Center, a support center that meets the critical needs of all those connected by Foster Care and Adoption and all those who serve the community in Los Angeles and beyond. She has been a psychotherapist in adoptions and foster care for 18 years. Yoffe's desire to become a therapist with a special focus on adopted and foster care issues derived from her own experience of being adopted and moving through the foster care system.
She is often asked to speak on panels to educate writers, artists, and actors about the experience and speaks on related topics as a professional psychotherapist on T.V.
Jeanette has appeared on numerous T.V. show networks such as OWN, TLC Network, ABC, Spectrum News, Las Vegas News and the Hope Channel as a Psychotherapist talking and teaching about Foster Care and Adoption on the T.V. shows: Raising Whitley and Long Lost Family and Lifestyle Magazine.
In 2006 she received the Los Angeles Foster Care Hero Award for her dedication to children and families in foster Care as well Certificate of Recognition for her work serving families in Los Angeles.
