Composer and singer Amit Trivedi shared that the music album of 2015 film ‘Bombay Velvet’, which turned out to be a disaster at the box-office, is his personal favourite and that it broke his heart when he did not get any result.

Talking about the music of ‘Bombay Velvet’ being underrated, Trivedi told : “It’s my personal favourite when I was making it, and once it was done I was sitting at home and one fine day as I was scrolling through the album listening to it much before it was released, I remember talking to myself ‘bro you have killed it’. It’s amazing. It sounds great but … whatever film had its fate because it is part of a film right.”

He said that with the film’s fate, the efforts made for the music washed away too.

New Delhi, Aug 30 (Ians) She has belted out hits such as ‘Ishq wala love’ from ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Nazar Laaye’ from ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Meri Jaan’ from ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ to name a few. However, singer Neeti Mohan has revealed her lowest point in her career.

Neeti said that singing for Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar-starrer 2015 film ‘Bombay Velvet’ was the lowest point because she feels those tracks never got heard.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film is based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’. It also stars Kay Kay Menon, Manish Choudhary, Vivaan Shah and Siddhartha Basu.

Speaking to Ians, Neeti opened up about the low point in her career: “I think it was when I was the voice of the film ‘Bombay Velvet’. I felt that these songs never get heard. They were so interestingly recorded, and there are so many exciting stories we have for each song.

The trailer of the upcoming Ritika Singh-starrer ‘InCar’ was unveiled on Friday. It shows Ritika’s character, a call centre executive, who gets kidnapped and assaulted.

The film is said to be inspired by true events and has been helmed by debutant director, Harsh Warrdhan.

Speaking about the film, Ritika Singh said: “‘InCar’ is an experience which every woman in this country has felt – the harassment with words, the double-meaning jokes, the lust and the rampant disregard for the law. Mumbai, Feb 16 (Ians) The first poster from the upcoming thriller film, ‘InCar’ was unveiled on Thursday by the makers. The film, which stars the National-award winning actress Ritika Singh, is inspired by true events and is based on the spine-chilling survival journey of a college girl.

The intriguing poster stars Ritika Singh, Manish Jhanjholia, Sandeep Goyat, Sunil Soni and Gyan Prakash and shows Ritika with a bruised face sitting inside a car, as she is held at gunpoint.

Ritika, who began her acting career in 2013, was spotted by director Sudha Kongara Prasad in an advertisement for the Super Fight League.

The actress later auditioned to play a leading role in the bilingual film, ‘Saala Khadoos’ which also starred R. Madhavan. She was cast for the part after the makers managed to contact her through the competition’s chairman, Raj Kundra.

Meanwhile, ‘InCar’ has been helmed and written by Harsh Warrdhan.

For the first time Aparshakti Khurrana will be seen in a hotstar film premiere named 'Kanpuriye' which revolves around the lives of people who struggle to come in town and make a living. Speaking on the film, leads include Aparshakti Khurrana, Divyendu Sharma and Vijay Raaz.

The trailer of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar will be released tomorrow morning.

Confirming this on a microblogging site Karan wrote, "The #BombayVelvet trailer releases tomorrow morning....."

Bombay Velvet is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables'. Set in the backdrop of the 60's, the film tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj (Ranbir), and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie (Anushka), and how their hopes and dreams collide with their individual realities. Karan Johar will play the primary antagonist in the film.

Bombay Velvet, a romantic thriller also stars Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu. Produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantoms Films, Bombay Vlevet is set to release on 15th May, 2015.

Anurag Kashyap's magnum opus Bombay Velvet is caught up in a fix yet again. After being postponed twice, the film receives yet another setback after one of the prominent member of the cast, Raveena Tandon has called it quits. The actress has decided to walk out of the film owing to the constant changes that has been happening in the script of the film. Bombay Velvet which was initially slated for a release in 2014 has been postponed for more than six months to May 2015. While the makers have always maintained that the reason behind this decision was the delay in the post production, we hear there are a lot of changes being made in the script as well. A while back, we had reported that the release date of Anurag Kashyap's neo-noir film Bombay Velvet had been postponed to 2015. Now we hear that the director, who has found extra time to work on his project, will be shooting a special music video for the film.

Interestingly, Anurag will not be directing the said video, instead Vikramaditya Motwane, who earlier directed films like Lootera and Udaan will shoot the music video. A source close to the film confirms the development saying, "The music video will be a jazz number set in the 60's featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and also Karan Johar, who plays a media mogul in the film, and directed by Vikramaditya."

Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet has now been confirmed for release on November the 28th, 2014. Previously there had been some conspiracy and confusion over the release date as the film had clashed with Rajkumar Hirani’s, P.K. Both films were reportedly to release on Christmas Day 2014, now neither film will be doing so as Pk is set for the 19th of December 2014 – just under a week before the festive day.

“I don’t regret doing the film. All films can’t be hit. My first film Saawariya was also a flop. There is no hit formula. I don’t know if there is a hit formula”, he said at a Philips event. Post taking Bollywood by storm with his acting prowess, Ranbir Kapoor who has been talking about venturing into the field of film production has finally taken the leap. In fact the actor, who is currently working on Besharam, will be teaming up with Phantom films for Anurag Kashyap's most ambitious project, Bombay Velvet. Initially Ranbir was roped in to play the lead role in the film; however later seeing the actor's involvement in the filming process, the makers requested him to join them in producing the film.
