LaShaune Sherice Recke was born in Washington, DC. She majored in vocal
performance at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She also grew up
studying acting through the DC Arts Program. She grew up around music
and is multi-talented. She booked her first television job just one
year after moving to Los Angeles in 1997 with Keenen Ivory Wayans where
she played drums in the house band. She has since appeared in numerous
television shows, films, and commercials. She is married to Andre Recke
who is an Entertainment Executive and Music Manager.
