Kevin Hearn Cutts is a screenwriter and actor, and was born November 14, 1955, in Tampa Bay, Florida. He has appeared in several TV shows, including Law and Order, the Blacklist, and Miami Vice. He also appeared in Women of the Movement, the biographical-drama based on the life of Emmett Louis Till, brilliantly portraying the character "Sheriff Smith" of Leflore Country, Mississippi, neighboring county to Tallahatchie County. In addition to acting, he is also an acclaimed screenwriter, best known for writing the Western film "The Trail to Hope Rose," starring Lou Diamond Phillips as "Keenan Deerfield," the main character in the movie.
