“Some secrets are meant to stay buried” says the ad line for “Strictly Confidential.” But you’d need a sizable underground bunker to contain all the effortfully shocking revelations sprung in this very silly sudser, which starts out looking like an erotic thriller-mystery, then descends into a series of flashback-laden explication monologues more apt for “Dynasty” than Agatha Christie.
Damian Hurley’s directorial feature, with famous mum Elizabeth top-billed and producing, provides several hardbodied younger performers opportunity to model clothes and approximate recognizable human emotions on the coastline of tax haven island nation Saint Kitts and Nevis. But what was likely an enjoyable working Caribbean vacation for cast and crew proves somewhat labored for viewers. Nonetheless, watched in the right spirit, with appropriate libations, it could prove quite entertaining … if not in the way presumably intended. A magic potion de-ages three women in an enjoyably middling drama-comedy with Patricia Hodge alongside Keaton and Lulu
Viciously anodyne but not entirely unamusing, this older-folk-skewed comedy puts a gentle spin on a well-worn device, the magical-body transformation. In some genteel corner of England, retirees Joan and Arthur are leading a life of quiet resignation. She does gardening and whatnot; he potters with inventions in his shed. One night, his latest concoction, a formula mixed with whisky that will de-age a person back to the body she or he had in her or his early 20s, actually works. Arthur goes outside to holler triumphantly during a storm and gets struck by lightning, leaving Joan a widow.
After the funeral, Joan (Patricia Hodge) and her two best friends, crafty divorcee Linda (Diane Keaton) and baking-obsessive Susan (Lulu), get stuck into the whisky/youthifying brew and wake up looking like the lithe young women they once were,...

Bad news for fans of chivalry! Knightfall has been canceled by History after two seasons. This was all but a foregone conclusion as Knightfall’s second and final season concluded on May 13, 2019 and there have not been any updates on Knightfall season 3 since. Now History has made the cancellation official, according to Deadline.
The writing was on the wall for History’s Middle Ages epic even before the second season conclusion came and went without a renewal. Despite adding Mark Hamill (Star Wars) for its second season, Knightfall Season 2 featured a steep drop in ratings from its already ratings-challenged first season. According to the site TV Series Finale, Knightfall averaged a dismal 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and attracted around only 650,000 viewers per episode total. That is a nearly 50% drop in viewers from the first season.
Bigger networks might be able to get away with attracting a hyper niche audience...

In season two, they quest for the truth and delve deeper into themes of global conspiracy, look at how UFOs have impacted the evolution of the nation’s military practices and technology and lean into the nostalgia of the 1950s.
Project Blue Book Season 2 concluded in March with Hynek searching for Quinn, who was blown to bits by an explosion.

It seems like a long time coming, but this week sees a return for the Knights Templars in season 2 of Knightfall in the UK. At the end of season one having fallen from grace, Landry (Tom Cullen) was battered and bruised from an almighty battle with King Philip (Ed Stoppard) and left holding his newborn child.
Knightfall chronicles the mysterious but true accounts of the Knights Templar, the elite warriors of the Crusades. It delves into the great secrets protected by the Templars and tells the story of faith, loyalty and brotherhood that help sustain these warriors on the battlefield and the dark events that would forever sear the infamous date of Friday the 13th into the world’s psyche.
At eight episodes, Season 2 promises even more low points for Landry as he finds himself on a path to redemption. No longer a Knights Templar he finds himself at the...

“Allow me to atone for my sins in the eyes of God.”
After a solid debut as part of History’s venture into the world of scripted historical drama, Knightfall jumps feet first into its sophomore season with some fascinating cast additions and several fresh story arcs. Even though Queen Joan’s illicit love affair with Landry no longer occupies the narrative’s center, that doesn’t mean its impact doesn’t still play a relevant role. “God’s Executioners” zeroes in on tales of redemption and revenge as the life and future of baby Eve hang in the balance, and the intrigues within Philip’s palace and the Templar brotherhood shift to accommodate the changing balance of power.

History’s drama series “Knightfall” will return with its second season — which includes Mark Hamill — on Monday, March 25 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt, A + E Studios announced during the Television Critics Association press tour Sunday. But if you can’t wait that long to see Hamill trade in his lightsaber for a Medieval sword, you’re in luck, because History also dropped the Season 2 trailer.
The 2-minute, 16-second video teases Hamill’s debut as Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran and initiate master who is tasked with preparing the next generation of men to proudly wear the red cross on their chests and become “God’s Executioners.” Based on the trailer, it seems Talus oscillates between giving out sage advice, and punching people.

"We're always connected, no matter how far apart we are." Screen Media Films has debuted a new official Us trailer for the indie sailing drama The Mercy, which tells the story of a humble middle-aged man who takes an unfinished boat on a race around the world to add some adventure in his life. This already opened in Europe earlier this year, but is just getting a special theatrical Us release in November (and on December 6th). This film tells the triumphant, inspiring, incredible true story of Donald Crowhurst, an amateur sailor who decided to take on the task of competing in the 1968 Golden Globe Race - sailing around the world solo. Colin Firth stars as Donald Crowhurts, along with Rachel Weisz as his wife Clare, plus David Thewlis, Jonathan Bailey, Tim Downie, Andrew Buchan, Genevieve Gaunt, Adrian Schiller. It still looks like your standard sailing survival, look-how-crazy-it-is adventure movie.

Despite declining ratings each season, E! has continued to renew The Royals TV show, when it might have been cancelled on other networks. As the cabler's first foray into scripted fare, they have given this primetime soap opera every chance. After production was done on the fourth season though, they fired creator Mark Schwahn, in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations. How that ultimately affects this low-rated show's fate remains to be seen and likely depends on the ratings in the fourth season. Will The Royals be cancelled or renewed for season five? “E! will not be moving forward with another season of ‘The Royals,’ which launched in 2015 as the network’s first original scripted series,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement to TheWrap. “Over four seasons, ‘The Royals’ took viewers behind the palace gates on a scandalous journey filled with twists and turns. “E! will not be moving forward with another season of ‘The Royals,’ which launched in 2015 as the network’s first original scripted series,” a spokesperson for E! told Variety in a statement. “Over four seasons, ‘The Royals’ took viewers behind the palace gates on a scandalous journey filled with twists and turns. We are grateful to the cast and our producing partners at Lionsgate and Universal Cable Productions.”

"You better be ready to bloody run." Goldfinch Studios has released a new UK trailer for an indie comedy titled Dusty & Me, a feel-good family film about a boy and his dog. The film was once titled Against the Odds as well as Slapper and Me, but is now being released as Dusty and Me. The plot is about an 18-year-old misfit who befriends a lightning fast Greyhound, comically named Slapper by his older brother. The dog is dognapped by thieves, so Dusty and his love-interest go on a mission to find and rescue Slapper. Dusty & Me stars Genevieve Gaunt, Luke Newberry, Iain Glen, Ian Hart, and Lesley Sharp. This definitely looks as bad as it sounds, but I have a soft spot for dogs and dog movies, so I'm posting this anyway. Enjoy. Here's the official UK trailer (+ poster) for Betsan Morris Evans' Dusty & Me, direct from YouTube: A feel-good,...

Up until now, it seemed like the couple was very much in love and ready to take on the monarchy together, but after Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) warned Willow that Robert wasn't to be trusted, their royal matrimony fell into question. Willow's feelings aside, there was still a coup underway and that meant everything had to go according to plan! "Eleanor: You continue designing the wedding. Liam: All your best man obligations. Will it be the fairytale ending she was hoping for?! After everything that King Robert (Max Brown) has done this season on The Royals—and trust us, he's done a lot—Willow (Genevieve Gaunt) was the last person who had his back. But could that all be changing? Royal wedding bells are ringing, but will it be Willow's dream wedding or her nightmare? "Those things you said to me in your office about how I'm the gift you always wished for, were those your words? Were they from your heart?" Willow asks Robert in the middle of their ceremony. Bad timing much? "You think we could maybe save this conversation until after the ceremony?" an annoyed Robert asks his...

Loose lips sink ships and...monarchies too! In this clip from Sunday's season finale of The Royals, Cyrus (Jake Maskall) calls out Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) for spilling the beans about their planned coup to Willow (Genevieve Gaunt). "Do you know what the fatal flaw of every failed coup in history is? Someone talks. Some lone wolf betrays the pack. I'm talking about you, Lobo," Cyrus angrily tells Eleanor. "She told me what Robert (Max Brown) said to her and I realized they were the exact words that I'd written to Jasper (Tom Austen) in a letter that he never got for Christmas," Eleanor explains. Before a royal wedding, there's a royal bachelorette and bachelor party.
But on The Royals Season 4 Episode 8, neither event went as planned.
Despite her objections, Eleanor and Queen Helena threw Willow a "hen party" complete with massages, champagne, and a chocolate fountain. Sounds relaxing, right?
That is until Willow's masseuse turned out to be Cassandra who laced Willow's essential oils with LSD. Is that even possible?
Cassandra is the type of girl that you run far away from the moment you meet her. Her motives aren't in the right place; she's vile, manipulative and desperate for the crown.
And she seriously thought that drugging Willow the day before she had to face the Committee would put a wrench in her ability to become Queen.
