Graduating from the esteemed NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Ellery
began his directing and writing career in Singapore some eight years
ago. Moving seamlessly between commercial television work and short
films that have traveled to international film festivals, Ellery's
diverse work calls attention to his ambitions as a storyteller.
His diverse commercial portfolio include work with National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel, McDonald's, Samsung TV, VOOM TV, Mediacorp Channel etc. He was the lead director in Mediacorp's "Unexpected Access", one of the channel's highest rated shows. Recently, he completed the music video for one of Singapore's rising television stars and a web commercial for Gimmieworld, an iPhone app.
Besides winning accolades for his short films, Ellery has also been invited to numerous workshops, including the Asian Content Gathering 2012 organized by the Japan Film Commission, Next Masters Tokyo Filmex 2010, Produire Au Sud at the Festival of 3 Continents 2005, to name a few.
Even his screenplays have garnered attention, winning the Best Screenplay award at the Asian American International Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and National Scriptwriting Competition 2004 in Singapore. He also spent three months with SMI, a leading film financing company in Hong Kong developing feature film scripts.
Stepping out onto the international filmmaking arena, Ellery has set up EN Films, aimed at producing commercial film and television projects with an Asian Urban twist.
