Morris Apura

Morris Apura is a survivor of the MV Doña Paz tragedy of 1987, one of 27 survivors out of 4,410 who escaped the on-sea inferno from the collision of the oil tanker MT Vector. Apura was 37 at the time of the incident. Like many other intrepid travelers, Apura was boarding the Doña Paz with his friends Generoso Batola and Almario Balanay to meet with other family and friends for Christmas in the capital city Manila, Philippines.
