I realized the drama that could be told about those years. It's not just about the party, There were several consequences to the party too. When I learned about Alain Montpetit's life, everything he went through, his story convinced me to do a [movie] about those years. He was a guy that everybody liked, who was very charismatic, and everyone said he a had a great future ahead of him..but didn't really get to do what he wanted. And then the end of his life is so tragic.
