Jane Bodie

Jane is a Melbourne based, award-winning playwright and screenwriter. Jane is the creator and writer of an original new drama in development with Seven Studios. Her new play 'Lamb' a play with songs by Mark Seymour opens in Melbourne at the Red Stitch Theatre in November 2018 and her play commission 'Water' has been programmed at the Black Swan State Theatre in Perth for their 2019 season. She was Head of Playwriting at NIDA from 2010-2013. Her TV writing credits in Australia and the UK include 'Moving Wallpaper' and 'Echo Beach' for Kudos/ITV, 'Nearly Famous' for Kudos/C4, 'Tashi', 'The Secret Life of Us' and 'Crash Burn'. She was the Green Room Award recipient for Outstanding Writing for 'Still' (La Mama Theatre) and won the Victoria Premier's Award for 'A Single Act' (Hamstead Theatre UK & MTC). Her play 'This Year's Ashes', written for Griffin Theatre Company, was staged to major critical success.
