In 2014, Pasadena rapper Big Hit was ready to capitalize on his newfound freedom and pursue music alongside his son Hit-Boy, the Grammy-winning producer who’s laced Kanye West, Jay-Z, and others with chart-topping hits. Big Hit had been incarcerated since Hit-Boy was three years old, including a 15-year federal sentence which included a five-year period where the two had no contact due to prison restrictions. They had some jail visits throughout his incarceration, but Big Hit’s freedom represented a chance for a more holistic relationship.

The Venture Bros. is finally back in a new movie, titled The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, and the most recent news only deepens the hype. First debuting in 2004, the program became one of the longest-running original series on Adult Swim before its unexpected cancelation in 2020. In order to answer the myriad of questions created by the season 7 finale, Adult Swim and Max have produced a feature-length movie to act as a concluding chapter.
The Venture Bros. has birthed a strong fanbase and is often considered to be among the best Adult Swim shows. Created as a send-up of 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoons, the series followed members of the Venture family, including disappointing super-scientist and father Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture and his twin sons Hank and Dean Venture. It was created by Chris "Jackson Publick" McCulloch (The Tick) and musician Doc Hammer, who return to co-write...

Star Trek is pretty much unique when it comes to fan-made movies and episodes that pay homage to the sci-fi series. Left alone by CBS and Paramount (as long as they don’t try to make money from them) fans build elaborate sets and even bring in recognisable Star Trek actors to produce work that is anything but amateur.
The latest hoping to go into production is Star Trek: Renegades, co-written by Jack Trevino and staring Walter Koenig, Tim Russ, Garrett Wang and Robert Picardo among others, names that will be familiar to any Star Trek fan.
Jack Trevino is no stranger to the world of Star Trek. Having written the hugely popular fan-made miniseries Star Trek: Of Gods And Men which stared a number of Star Trek actors including Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols. The series was awarded ‘Best Web Production 2008’ by SyFy Portal which is now Alpha Airlock.

The Alchemist has plenty of sonic concoctions on tap for 2011. One of the esteemed hip-hop producer's latest projects is New Orleans rapper Curren$y's Covert Coup mixtape. And while Alc is used to dropping projects that are strictly for sale, the Coup tape is a free release.
Chalk it up as a small price to pay for working with an ambitious Mc like Spitta.
"He got his own zone," Alchemist told Mixtape Daily of Curren$y. "I hadn't worked with him before that but when he worked, he works quick. Same way I work, too, which is good because we were able to knock out a couple of joints the first day and decide where it could go. I didn't know what to expect.
