The Diary, which is in production, follows an explosion that shatters the lives of a Muay Thai fighter who is imprisoned for his role in the tragedy and a pianist who is blinded. When they cross paths after the former’s release from jail, their shared pain sparks a connection that may lead to redemption.

Singapore-based sales company Mokster Films was launched last year by Nelson Mok, who recently handled Oscar-shortlisted Thai dramaHow To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, and is making its EFM debut.

Ermes Costello, first introduced in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean, is a fellow prison resident along with the main character and first female JoJo, Jolyne Cujoh, in Part Six of the series. She is strong, determined, and possesses one of the best and most unique Stands titled Kiss. Her character design in the signature JoJo's art style is vibrant and colorful, represented well in a recent cosplay by Reddit user, u/PugoffkaCos.

The cosplay starts off with a green vest top that is open at the front to reveal a yellow and black-striped tank top underneath. u/PugoffkaCos also wears a dark pair of pants and a wig that matches Ermes' hair in the anime identically.

Action romance is a tricky genre to master — it requires the right balance of heart and spectacle. But when done well, à la “True Lies” or “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” it will live on forever in the rewatch rotation.

Stunt coordinator-turned-director David Leitch has launched cars straight into the air and staged fight scenes that have had theaters erupting in thunderous cheers. His latest challenge, however, will be making the audience’s heart melt with “The Fall Guy,” in theaters now. Smartly, he cast Ryan Gosling, the living embodiment of a junior high schooler’s diary entry, to play the hero.

Adapted from the 1980s series, the Universal film follows down-at-his-heels action choreographer Colt Seavers (Gosling), who must unravel a treacherous mystery while on the set of the next big blockbuster. The movie happens to be directed by his ex-girlfriend, played by Emily Blunt.

Long before Taylor Swift embarked on the Eras Tour, director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick had the idea to use “All Too Well” as a key moment in “The Fall Guy.”

McCormick, a self-professed Swiftie, and Leitch were trying to find a fresh and contemporary song to fit into a particular scene.

In the film, Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, one of Hollywood’s top stuntmen. After experiencing an on-set accident, he falls off the grid for 18 months, ghosting aspiring director Jody (Emily Blunt), someone he also happens to be dating. The two awkwardly reunite on the set of her directorial debut, and when they wrap their first day, Colt retreats to his pickup truck reflecting on happier times with Jody.

McCormick thought a Swift song would be perfect for that scene, and even Gosling agreed.

Ghost have announced a feature film titled Rite Here Rite Now, which is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 20th and 22nd.

The Swedish band teased the film earlier this month, but with no details at the time. A new press release describes the movie as a pseudo narrative-concert film that “fully immerses viewers in the technicolor melodrama of the vaunted live ritual” that is Ghost. Directed by Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell) and Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge, it culls footage from the band’s two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in 2023 and follows plot threads from Ghost’s long-running Chapters series.

Kiss are the latest artists to sell off their music catalog — and, in this case, their well-known onstage personas and makeup — for big money.

The band — which closed out its (alleged) farewell tour in December 2023 — announced they have sold the rights to their music and imagery to Pophouse, the Swedish company that created the Abba Voyage hologram show and is working on a similar project involving Kiss.

While the price wasn’t revealed in a joint press release, Fortune reports that Kiss raked in upwards of $300 million in the sale.

The recently retired Kiss has sold its music catalog, likeness and brand name to Swedish entertainment firm Pophouse. Financial terms were not disclosed, but The Associated Press reports the deal is estimated to be over $300 million.

“As part of the partnership, Pophouse will create digital versions of Kiss that will allow the band and their unique personas to live forever,” Pophouse and Kiss said in a press release announcing the deal. “Through a magical combination of cutting-edge technology and unrivaled creativity, Pophouse will bring the full, authentic Kiss experience to both existing and new fans for years to come.” The avatar show is slated to launch in 2027.

As part of the deal, Pophouse CEO Per Sundin says a biopic, a documentary and a Kiss experience also are planned.

Gene Simmons is swiftly entering his post-Kiss era.

Brazilian rock festival Summer Breeze announced the lineup Wednesday for its three-day festival in April with the Gene Simmons Band headlining the three-day event, the self-proclaimed God of Thunder’s first performance since Kiss’ final concert.

“Gene Simmons’ new solo band will be the surprise attraction of the second edition of Summer Breeze Open Air Brasil,” the festival wrote on Facebook. The Gene Simmons band will perform on April 26.

In yet another example of anime blending into the real world, to celebrate the release of the Kizumonogatari -Koyomi Vamp- anime film, a compilation re-edit of the three Kizumonogatari anime films, the film has taken over Shinjuku Sanchome Tokyo Metro station in a media blitz until January 15. For those with a keen eye and have seen the original three films, you might be able to tell that Shinjuku Sanchome Station was the inspiration behind the iconic scene where Araragi and Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade met for the very first time. Alongside the collaboration, the film also announced that French artist Clémentine will be returning to compose the ending theme song for the compilation film after previously working on the themes for the second and third outings. During Kiss’ final concert earlier this month, the (allegedly) retiring band announced plans to continue on as digital avatars. On Friday, the Destroyer act revealed when their “new era” will begin: 2027.

“50 years is a long time, and what the future holds is in the making,” Kiss said in their latest promotional video trumpeting their digital forms. “A show is coming.”

Heralded as the big surprise to close out the band’s “final” gig at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Kiss premiered their avatars, created in collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic.

In a perfect world, Kiss would have wrapped up the final show of their End of the World tour by inviting former members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss onto the stage for tearful hugs, an end to the bitterness that has consumed the group for decades, and one last rendition of “Rock and Roll All Nite,” giving the inevitable biopic a perfect last scene.

In the world we actually live on, Criss and Frehley were nowhere in sight when Kiss played their (supposed) final show at Madison Square Garden on Saturday evening.
