Christian is a Norse behavior expert, a futurist and a direct descendant of Viking King Gudröd Ragnvaldsson. In the corporate world he applies his skillset to match high performers with unique opportunities. In his philanthropic efforts he transforms struggling US communities with his Vegas Vikings (2014) Games, now in its 10th year after its initial kick-off with Christian in 2013 introducing the Leif Erikson Day (2013) (VR version launch in 2024). In his initial validation of the game crime was reduced with 75% in 21 field days in the most dangerous neighborhood in Las Vegas. The Vegas Vikings game was next started in other states achieving the same success, is game based and applies the 1000 year old Norse Althing philosophy to positively impact the lives of the participants called the players of the game and the high crime communities he seek to transform. His philantrophic work includes the upcoming GoViking with Christian Schoyen Game show (VR version in 2024). With the non-profit Neighborhood Rescue of America/GoViking he Chairs he conduct lectures for law enforcement leadership on how to apply the same blueprint used in the game. In addition Christian is bestselling author & award winning filmmaker on his subject matters, which includes his multi-award winning Vegas Vikings (2014) feature documentary. His mission in all of his work is to enhance the impact of high-performers who are behind companies prospering, cities thriving and the world becoming a better place.
Through ESR, the international headhunting company Christian founded in 1997 and reside as the CEO he places game changers in key roles at Fortune 1000 companies worldwide. With the ESR's GoViking Talent Community he Chairs the goal is to provide for the +5000 modern day Vikings placed through ESR in the corporate world, personal development/growth and career opportunities in addition to branding support. These unique individuals makes companies prosper, cities thrive and the world go forward.
Through his Los Angeles based production company Creating Legends he creates media productions for at the non-profit Neighborhood Rescue of America, GoViking and ESR. Film and gaming are mediums Christian applies in his work to engage and reach a wide audience. His first media project was the docudrama on human behavior Living the Dream (2006) with Danny Trejo and Sean Young, which focused on how negative influences, conditioning in early childhood could could mentally corrupt and destroy someones life as adults. The film was distributed by Paramount Pictures and the Los Angeles Times review said; "It's downright misanthropic ...farcical drama with the most hostile cinematic view of Los Angeles since Crash. There is undeniable heart in Living the Dream, with its implicit criticism of mercenary values". Christian is also a member of World Future Society and an avid corporate futurist, specializing in human behavior futureology and creating behavioral AI forecasting models for human behavior and trends.
He graduated with a BBA at Pacific Lutheran University, WA and conducted his African-American Studies at California State University. Christian works out of Los Angeles, New York, London and Stockholm.
