The Year in Pictures

CJ de Mooi is an English actor with extensive credits across theatre, film and television. He has performed on stage in London's west end, at international fringe festivals and Hollywood. CJ first came to prominence as the 'bad boy of quiz' with his 11 years on the BBC show Eggheads. His on screen persona was so popular it led to his own spin off series Revenge of the Egghead. A short film The Renata Road was received so well, a feature was made and released in 2022 after winning multiple film festival awards. CJ was cast in the lead role attracting enthusiastic reviews for his portrayal of the troubled character. CJ is vegan, a long distance runner (with a personal best marathon time of 2.47.52 set in 2020) and a campaigner against homelessness.
