On Wednesday, Drake dropped the music video for "I'm Upset" and pulled off a totally unexpected Degrassi: The Next Generation reunion. In the video, the stars of the Canadian teen drama are back for their high school reunion, and it gets lit. Drake, who played Jimmy Brooks on the TV show from 2001 to 2009, is reunited with 19 of his Degrassi castmates, including Shane Kippel, who played his onscreen best friend, Gavin "Spinner" Mason; Nina Dobrev (Mia Jones); and Ephraim Ellis, who played Rick Murray, the infamous schoolmate who shoots Jimmy and paralyzes him during season four. Yeah, Degrassi definitely earns its tagline, "It goes there."

Just when you think he's down for the count, Drake comes back to prove he's never out for long. After a brief quiet period following a rap beef with Pusha T, Drake dropped a surprise for all his fans on Wednesday night with the music video for his song "I'm Upset."

The high-school-reunion-themed video takes viewers back to Drake's days on the Canadian TV drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, on which he played the role of Jimmy Brooks from 2001 to 2009. Drake’s former castmates from “Degrassi: The Next Generation” had a blast reuniting for his latest video, “I’m Upset,” shot this past weekend in downtown Toronto from the Air Canada Centre, where the rap star’s beloved Raptors play basketball, in addition to the Degrassi set in north Toronto, where the long-running teen drama still films.

He released the video Wednesday night and it already has more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.

From 2001 to 2009, Drake, then known by his birth name Aubrey Graham, played Jimmy Brooks in the series, a rich kid who ends up in a wheelchair after getting shot.

He appeared in over 100 episodes, and again in “Degrassi: Minis” (2005-2007). He also released his first mixtape, “Room For Improvement,” in 2007.

Saudin, Miriam McDonald, Cassie Steele, Nina Dobrev, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, and Paula Brancati.

Even Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith brought back their Jay and Silent Bob characters for a cameo recalling their original cameo.

Next to the rapper, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, Dobrev is the breakout star of the regular group. She starred on The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” from 2009-2017.

Drake/Graham played Jimmy Brooks from 2001-2009 on “Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Drake returns to his roots in the video for his song “I’m Upset,” which finds him returning to the scene that put him on the map in the first place, the TV show “Degrassi.”

Of course, the clip incorporates other narratives, and one is in the opening scene, where Drake wakes up next to a woman in a bed placed in the middle of the the Air Canada Center, the arena in which his beloved Toronto Raptors play basketball. The sound of his phone pinging a reminder of his high-school reunion.

TORONTO -- Canadian producers Insight Prods. and Original Pictures said Wednesday they have sold their teen drama Falcon Beach to ABC Family. The U.S. broadcaster said the Canadian drama about coming-of-age teens holidaying in a lakeside resort would launch its Sizzlin' Summer programming strand in 2006. After the original two-hour pilot for Falcon Beach aired on the Global Television Network in Canada, the Canadian broadcaster ordered 13 one-hour episodes of the teen drama that stars Steven Byers, Jennifer Kydd, Devon Weigel, Ephraim Ellis, Eric Johnson and Melissa Elias. Production on the first season of Falcon Beach is set for this summer just outside Winnipeg, Manitoba. Producer credits on Falcon Beach go To Kim Todd, John Murray and Shannon Farr. Murray and Farr created the series.
