Early this year, Joey Ryan, half of the indie folk duo the Milk Carton Kids, received a text from his friend Sara Bareilles. No surprise there — she, Ryan and Ryan’s musical partner Kenneth Pattengale have known each other for over a decade. This time, Bareilles asked if she could pass Ryan’s contact info along to some TV people she was working with. “I said, ‘Sure, of course, what is it?’ ” he recalls. “And she goes, ‘They want someone to do this song and it’s supposed to sound like Simon and Garfunkel.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Hardbody Harrison is in jail for life, because he’s an idiot…and an evil perv. The show has six matches, which includes a match from Brian Pillman Jr., who now has to thank the booker-man for this wonderful opportunity…to get Covid-19. Dark starts… I can’t believe you don’t shut-up!
Match #1: Shawn Spears def. Brian Pillman Jr.
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This should have been a much longer match, but for the one we got, this was still fun and tantalizing…like Lorraine Bracco…good for her. Bp did well, except for the oil spill, but what does a seagull know? You’ll see some nice mat work here, but it all felt too brief and secondary to Spears’s and his stupid glove. If you like a...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…well, Michael Elgin is suspended and Dave Crist and Joey Ryan are fired, due to the numerous sexual misconduct allegations made against them. Jake Crist has been accused of being very violent at work (allegedly). Tessa Blanchard is still (allegedly) accused of being a racist and a sociopath by people in the wrestling industry and Moose still has an old accusation of perversion (allegedly). Also, I’m pretty sure Sami Callihan is crazy and Rich Swann just as much. Impact sure knows how to pick’em, don’t they? Well, why we all get creeped out, let’s consider how tall Santa’s elves are…stupid little fuckers. Impact is on like that old episode of “Bonanza” where George Costanza put his hands’a on The Band’s last waltz’a...

Match #1: Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz def. Kylie Rae & Susie The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Last week, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz sent a message to Kylie Rae when they attacked her in the backstage area – they are a force to be reckoned with in the Knockouts division. It was the dark and mysterious Susie who came to the aid of Kylie, but she too fell victim to the numbers game. Kylie Rae and Susie had a chance at revenge when they met Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz in tag team action. In the early going, Tasha’s bad attitude was rubbing Susie the wrong way,...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and f— you. On this week’s show, we continue the build to a PPV that isn’t happening in a league that’s been rebranded with a generic name that no one wanted. Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the coronavirus has got people saying stupid s—. Don’t say stupid s— just because your government’s individual shutdown is giving you license to do so. Don’t tell people to stay indoors and don’t chastise them for going outside. We’re blowing this way out of proportion, especially with all of the more volatile diseases that have already been lurking around the corner for years. AIDS doesn’t give a s— if you have coronavirus and will kill you without delay, whereas the coronavirus will, likely, just make you a bit sicker than usual and for a few more days than usual. All we should be doing is having the elderly stay in doors for a month so they can skip the heavy part of the “outbreak”. We should just...

Chances are high that Joey Ryan and his extremely unorthodox test of strength have flooded your social media over the past week. While that was a move that deservedly received mainstream press coverage, it wasn’t the only spot worth highlighting from the previous week.
A table war has been heating up between The Wyatt Family and a trio of Ecw originals in WWE. In Ring of Honor, Dalton Castle has been his usual creative self by putting more reversals on a piledriver than previously thought possible. In Mexico’s Cmll, Kamaitachi and Dragon Lee competed in a can’t miss matchup that was chock full of moments that were can’t miss.
Joey Ryan and his domestic object will get their moment in the spotlight, but so will the rest of the insane spots alongside it.

Joey Ryan is going to get a ton of dates after this one — but he might impale most of them. The Ddt Pro Wrestling athlete used his penis to overpower opponent Danshoku Dino at a recent house show. This is for real, even if pro wrestling is not. For some reason, Dino grabbed Ryan’s penis — but instead of hurting the American wrestler, the Japanese competitor bit off more than he could chew. Ryan (apparently) flexed his privates, not only winning the test of strength, but actually flipping his opponent clear over. Also Read: FBI Confirms Alleged Isis Threat Against WWE Event in.

Impact Wrestling was back in Indiana, Pennsylvania for the second time and saw the building blocks being laid to the road to Slammiversary. Did it give me a reason to party over Tna’s birthday plans or will this party just be a bust? Well, let me tell you what I think.
Let’s begin with the opening segment, which saw Hulk Hogan apologize after months of doubting Sting. Sting says that’s water under the bridge and he wants to take the full offensive on Aces and Eights beginning next week in a six man tag. Hogan tells sting to pick whoever he wants for that squad, he has to decide who get the number one contender spot for Bully Ray in Boston. Matt Morgan comes out and says the shot should be his, Hogan says he’s not going to make mistakes anymore and just give someone the shot.

There’s a saying that everything is bigger in Texas and that proves to be true on this weeks impact from Corpus Christi, Texas. We even had the opening shown which never happens, usually on television. And to prove that, Hogan wants to talk to Hardy about his Full Metal Mayhem later tonight.
The action begins with the tag team title match two out of three falls as Austin Aries and Bobby Roode battle Hernandes and Chavo. The expectation at least in my opinion, is when two out of three falls happens it’s expected to have a long match. However, the first two falls of this match happened within the first five minutes. So why have the stipulation in the first place? If you don’t have time for it, why do it? That being said, the match was solid and everybody worked hard. It just felt very expedited.

Last week, I made a point of saying that building to Corpus Christi, Texas next week which shortchange the audience in Jonesboro and that you had to make every impact of special. Well, this week I feel like they accomplished that more was great action, storyline building and good episode structure.
