Hallmark Channel’s Fall Into Love 2024 programming event is already underway and the feel-good network’s penultimate movie is Autumn At Apple Hill.

The movie features two popular Hallmark stars, Erin Cahill and Wes Brown. The actors who starred together in Every Time A Bell Rings have reunited for a fall rom-com. Moreover, the movie is based on Angie Ellington’s book of the same title.

Hallmark Channel News – Six New Films Airing Throughout September And October

Hallmark describes its “Fall Into Love” movie lineup as providing a “season of sweater weather, pumpkin spice lattes and ghost stories” and it’s a series of six movies.

The announcement was made Friday, August 3 and the movies will air throughout September and October, featuring such Hallmark stars as the aforementioned Lacey Chabert and Jodi Sweetin.

The Hannah Swenson series, and the Mystery Lane series also have one entry apiece in the event.

The first of the six movies premieres September 7 and is called “His and Hers”. Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott star in this film as Dana and Mark, a married couple who happen to be high-powered lawyers working...

A new episode of the Revisited video series has arrived online this morning… and this time around, we’re looking back at a movie that has a very bad reputation: director Rupert Wainwright’s 2005 remake of the John Carpenter cult classic The Fog (you can watch the remake Here). Alex Caulfield’s Sins in the Family revolves around Zara (Moniqua Plante), who, like any other, is a middle-aged housewife who divides her hours between tending to her house chores and caring for her husband, Max (Jay Hindle), and daughter, Rose (Natalie Sharp). Like any other teenager, Rose saw her mom as an overprotective person who always wanted to know where she was and who she was with. Zara also had a cool side, as we saw her winning prizes in a fairground target shooting game at the start of the film. However, before we get into the story, there’s one small detail that you may want to know. Rose wasn’t Zara’s biological child, but she adopted her when she was little.

Thus, Rose was obsessed with finding her birth parents and often brought up the subject. However, Zara told her that she just doesn’t have any information about them.

While scripted TV is slowing down, we can always rely on Hallmark to deliver some first-rate movies.

The company on Monday unveiled seven movies that will be premiering on Hallmark and Hallmark: Movies & Mysteries during the month of September.

CBS’ original holiday films will star many familiar faces for Christmas enthusiasts. The broadcast network will debut three original festive flicks in December, some starring their own talent. “The Talk” co-host Amanda Kloots and “The Equalizer” star Liza Lapira each lead their own film.

The network brought back original holiday movies in 2021 with “Christmas Takes Flight” and “A Christmas Proposal” — the first time CBS re-entered the space in nine years.

This comedy series follows Brandon (Dillon Casey) and Ryan (Noah Reid), two young friends who are on a backpacking trip across Europe.

Recently engaged Ryan and his girlfriend Beth (Meghan Heffern) both experienced cold feet over their impending engagement and decided to embark on separate European vacations with the mantra "what happens in Europe, stays in Europe."

However, hours into his adventure with his party animal and womanizing best friend Brandon, Ryan realizes he’s made a huge mistake and sets off in search of Beth. Unfortunately, he has no idea where she could be.

It's game over for The CW's new comedies Seed and Backpackers. The smallest network has cancelled and pulled the low-rated comedies after just two airings.

On Seed, a single bartender and sperm donor (Adam Korson) meets offspring that he never knew he had and becomes involved in their lives. The rest of the cast includes Carrie-Lynn Neales, Amanda Brugel, Stephanie Anne Mills, Laura De Carteret, Matt Baram, Vanessa Matsui, Abby Ross, and William Ainscough.

Backpackers follows Brandon (Dillon Casey) and Ryan (Noah Reid) as they travel through Europe looking for Ryan's girlfriend girlfriend Beth (Meghan Heffern). Giacomo Gianniotti plays Andrew, Brandon's slacker brother.

Both shows had dismal launches last week, attracting fewer than 600,000 viewers each. The numbers got even worse this week. Based on the fast affiliate ratings, Backpackers dropped 40% and Seed fell 20%.

The new Backpackers comedy revolves around a couple of friends who are on a search -- not unlike how The CW is searching for ratings these days. Will either be successful? Will Backpackers be cancelled or will it be renewed for a second season instead? Stay tuned!

We worship at the altar of infinite possibility, saying “youth must have its fling” – and we bemoan those lost opportunities to “make our mistakes”. But there’s nothing bracing or invigorating about living through a real folly of youth. One that hurts the ones we care about. Those kinds of mistakes can make people instantly old, no matter what their calendar age. Old Stock explores the consequences of two such follies: one that engulfs its title character at the end of high school, and another committed by an older man in the grip of second child(hood)ishness.

Director/writer: David Morlet. Cast: Marty Adams, Shaun Benson, Meghan Heffern and Adam MacDonald. This reviewer is familiar with French director David Morlet's previous work, Mutants. Mutants was an undead film set in a post-apocalyptic landscape; Mutants was an exciting film, set in a dangerous environment. Morlet's second feature and first English film, Home Sweet Home, is less exciting, however. This second feature is meant as a suspense driven thriller, but there is very little tension here. The film's pacing is obscenely slow and the story is overly simple. The film's budget is also meagre and Morlet's latest outing will only satisfy the most die-hard horror or thriller fans. The film is not really plot driven. And, the story is broken down quite easily. A couple returns to their home after "date night." Someone is waiting for them there. A masked trespasser has sealed any exits and clothed himself in disposable coveralls.

Starring Meghan Heffern, Adam MacDonald  and Shaun Benson, Morley's latest effort concerns a thirty-something couple who come home from date night to find themselves imprisoned in their own house with a methodical killer inside.

Home Sweet Home is French director David Morlet's (Mutants) latest endeavour. This title is a home invasion thriller that involves a couple returning to their quite abode; a killer awaits them there. Home Sweet Home is a French and Canadian co-production, which now has an official release date. Home Sweet Home will release in North America June 4th through Screen Media Films. The release will host a few extras, according to the director including: "a director’s commentary, interviews and a still gallery" (Fangoria). David Morlet (a.k.a. David Morley), who directed and co-wrote the undead-apocalypse film Mutants, scripted and helmed Home Sweet Home and was also one of the producers, along with Jordan Barker, who directed the 2007 ghost story The Marsh. “What’s really interesting is that this movie was actually born at the Berlin Film Festival at the Berlinale Market,” Barker tells Fango. “We decided that we wanted to make a feature together, and from script development to funding, production and post, this film came together in only about four or five months.”

Screen Media Films gave us the scoop that it has picked up U.S. rights to Home Sweet Home, with a release planned for the second quarter of 2013 (most likely June). Fox Searchlight has released the first teaser poster for The F Word. The romantic comedy is the story of two friends — Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) and Chantry (Zoe Kazan) — who develop romantic feelings for one another. The only problem is that Chantry happens to be married.

Synopsis:

When a young American goes missing in Poland while backpacking around Europe, ambitious journalist Carmen (Cindy Sampson) links his disappearance to a number of similar events that have occurred over the years in and around the remote rural village of Alvania. With the Us and Polish authorities showing little interest in the case, Carmen decides to investigate the story herself, hoping for a scoop that will forward her career as a writer.

Every once in a blue moon comes a nicely made film that sets the mood from the get-go. The Shrine succeeds in where many others have failed. From the very first few frames to the end, this movie is a product of visual contrasts and cosmic terror. Here, the production team knew exactly what they’re borrowing from—the film noir stylings of yesteryear—and they toss in enough references of grandiose design to even make H.P. Lovecraft give his nod of approval.

Even before the terror slowly begins, there is finally a film that spends time establishing the main characters. Even when the shots don't require it, what audiences are presented with are beautiful pieces of cinematography with plenty of hidden meaning for those in the know. Even the colours seem to change.
