Ernesto is an actor, writer, producer and project developer involved in entertainment business for almost three decades.
Born in Venezuela, he began his training and professional career that led him to perfect and practice his craft in countries such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil, as well as the U.S., Hawaii, Paraguay, Costa Rica, and Aruba during his time on E Entertainment TV.
He is part of the cast of the second season of the Netflix series "The Marked Heart", a worldwide phenomenon. In Colombia, he starred in the television hit "Love in Custody" and was nominated for Best Actor at the "India Catalina" Awards. He was part of the play "She in my head" at the "Fanny Mickey" National Theater in Bogotá. In Caracas, Venezuela he recently led the play "The Salesman". He also featured in films such as "The pure lie" and "Somewhere in Venezuela" and the short-film "3".
His passion and curiosity led him to co-found Arte&Friends and manage the Belarte Theater in Bogotá, where he served as executive producer and independent cultural manager for more than twenty shows. He has also written a one-man show, "My Name is Ernesto Calzadilla, The Turpial of Macuto".
He is actually developing various film and theater projects as producer, actor and promoter.
