- He was a Soviet and Russian satirist, playwright, humorist and actor.

- In early October 2016, it became known that Zadornov was suffering from brain cancer. On October 12, 2016, he reported that he had to undergo a course of chemotherapy and cancels many of his concerts primarily those that require long flights. In October 22, 2016 Zadornov was hospitalized in Moscow after he had an epileptic seizure on stage during a concert at the Meridian culture and art center. Zadornov refused to talk more about his health problems not wanting to attract excessive media attention. In November 2016, Zadornov had a brain biopsy at the Charit Clinic after which he received treatment at a private clinic in the Baltic States. He died on November 10, 2017 at 9:15 am in a Moscow clinic at the age of 69.
