Justin is a writer of screenplays, games, and novels. He was hired to write 2 episodes of season 2 on "Cypher" for Roku in the spring of 2023 and has optioned a pilot to A+E. Most recently, he contributed to the next Battlefield game at Electronic Arts and authored tie-in novels for Galactic Entertainment's PlanetQuest.
He has written for narrative-driven games including Game of Thrones (nominated for Best Storytelling at the 2015 Golden Joystick Awards), Tales from the Borderlands (nominated for Best Narrative at the 2015 Game of the Year Awards and winner of IGN's Best Adventure Game of 2015), The Walking Dead, and Minecraft: Story Mode (Kid's Choice Awards nominee in 2016 and 2017). He also worked on DJ2 Entertainment's Silent Hill: Ascension (Webby and Emmy nominee in 2024) and various mobile, hybrid, and new media games, including PlanetQuest and Project Kyzen.
Justin earned an MA in Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and completed the University of California, Los Angeles Professional Program in Screenwriting, focusing on television writing. He has published over 50 novels, some of which have ranked in the top 50 on Amazon, with multiple titles reaching number one in their categories.
Before turning to writing, Justin served five years as a cryptologic linguist with the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned an MA in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and worked in post-conflict reconstruction and as an Asia analyst with the Federal Reserve. He has lived in Japan, Italy, and Korea, and his global travels inform his storytelling.
Justin has participated in the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project, the Netflix Animation Foundation Program, the Presidential Management Fellowship, and the RespectAbility Summer Program for Professionals in Entertainment with Disabilities.
