George was born in Athens, Greece, and studied Industrial Management (BSc), Moving Image & Fiction Film Production (MA), and Cognitive Narratology (PhD). His monograph "Screenplay and Narrative Theory" is published by Lexington Books, an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield. He has been a visiting lecturer and full time lecturer at various universities such as the University of Birmingham and the University of Reading.
He has been involved in the production of TV commercials, TV dramas and feature films in various roles in a career that spans more than 20 years. In 2005, he co-founded Split Second Film Productions in London which he left in 2008 to pursue other film production opportunities as writer/director. He has written, produced and directed short films - his scripts and short films have earned commendations and awards in international screenwriting competitions and film festivals while his most recent proof-of-concept science fiction/thriller short film "Autonomous" has more than 700,000 views on combined YouTube servers. It won the Best Sci-Fi Short at the London ISSF 2016, the Silver Award at the Box Festival 2016, was a Finalist at the Phoenix ComiCon 2017, US, and a Finalist in more than twenty film festivals around the world.
