Aaron Greer is an award-winning independent filmmaker and professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he
teaches courses in film and media production. He has produced and directed numerous documentary, narrative and experimental films, which have screened at film festivals nationally and internationally. His feature film credits include Gettin' Grown, Service to Man, and The Coming.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Greer earned his BA in history from Washington University and his MFA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University. Before going to graduate school and beginning a career in film, Aaron worked for the St. Louis Black Repertory Theater, taught high school, and served as a documentary researcher for Eyes on the Prize producer, Henry Hampton.
