Next to acting, she is also a passionate artist, which she considers as a very important part of her life. Her paintings and drawings are a combination of realism and surrealism.
In 2015 it was announced that Harmsen would be co-starring with Robert de Hoog in a television series based on the American outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.
