Will Fonseca is an Actor/Director born and raised in Costa Rica.
He moved to the US at the age of 9, and as a kid loved comic books drawing and martial arts. At one point he considered becoming a comic book artist. Reading comic books everyday as a kid taught him the art of story telling.
During high-school he joined the theater department at Port Richmond high school in Staten Island and discovered his passion for acting and story telling.
Will then went to study at Brooklyn College and majored in TV and film production and was heavily involved in the theater department and minored in theater.
At Brooklyn college he also worked for the Brooklyn College News show and went all over Brooklyn covering news stories. He also had his own talk show on the school radio station. He also had internships at the Peoples Court and the NBC experience. working at NBC he was given access to see how shows like SNL and the Conan Obrian show , were put together
Will has always stayed busy filming and acting on the weekends while working for TV station during the week.
After College Will worked for NETTV and created the shows Tapestry of Faith, Faith Film Festival, Too Blessed to Be stressed and Breaking Bread. Will went on to win Telly Awards for producing Tapestry of Faith and Breaking Bread.
During this time he also acted in numerous short films and features. He acted along side Al Pacino in the film People I know, and danced with Sofia Vergara on her first US show Club La Bomba. Will also acted and directed a short film El Bandido, which won a Telly Award and also acted in Directed in the Film Rewind which went on win the HBO Latino on the Edge short film competition.
While working at at NET TV he was sent on some adventurous assignments. He was sent to Australia for a week to film a documentary about kids on a pilgrimage. He was also sent to Cuba to film a documentary about peoples faith in Cuba. For this assignment he drove cross country on a pink cab filming and interviewing people and was mistaken for a spy on numerous occasions.
Will has also practiced different types of martial arts for many years. He practiced Karate for 4 years, and has practiced the Brazilian Martial arts Capoeira for over 6 years. Will also has a passion for boxing and basketball
