- Played bass for infamous shock rock punker GG Allin in 1990 and was writing music for an album when Allin was sent to prison in Ann Arbor, MI. Allin died soon after his release and only 3 of the rough tracks were recorded.
- "Unofficial" winner of Home Run Inn's 2008 Halloween Video contest, finalist in 2009, and completed the trilogy of 'The Unexpected Guest' commercial shorts in 2010. All three were a nod to classic Universal monster movies with Kahler portraying all the characters in each as well as performing all production/ post-production work himself.
