Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene-Ochir
Lkhagva-Ochir Erdene Ochir is an internationally acclaimed Mongolian circus artist, known for his breathtaking chair handbalancing act, performed over 740 times across three continents.
He began training as a contortionist at the age of 9, under the mentorship of Tsendayush T., one of Mongolia's most respected contortion coaches. His talent was first discovered by his uncle, a talent scout, who introduced him to the National Circus of Mongolia. He later joined the renowned Human Rose contortion studio, where he now teaches the new generation of contortionists along with coach B. Norovsambuu.
A graduate in Drama and Film Studies and the creator of The Legend of Fire-Mongolia's first theatrical-circus production-Ochir has mastered multiple disciplines, including handbalancing, contortion, aerial straps, and acrobatics.
He has performed with Cirque du Soleil in both CRYSTAL and KOOZA, and has been awarded the Polar Star Medal and the title of Honoured Artist of Mongolia, recognizing his status as a national treasure. Today, Ochir shares his knowledge with the next generation of artists through international workshops, retreats, and the AcroMongolia Stage Artist Program.
