Originally from Chicago, Michael Ann began her professional acting career, at the age of ten, working as a child voice-over artist and jingle singer for such companies as Kraft, Sears and United Airlines. She went on to perform in Steppenwolf's Young Peoples Company and received her BFA in Theater from The University of Illinois/Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. She moved to Los Angeles, where she has appeared on many television shows, including Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Saved by the Bell (1989) and General Hospital (1963) and has also voiced several characters on the hit cartoon show, South Park (1997). Michael Ann has performed in
theater throughout the United States and Europe. Most recently, she performed the role of "Jeanie" in the European tour of the musical, "Hair". Her theater credits include, but are not limited to, "Bye Bye Birdie" (Kim), "Pajama Game" (Mae), "Best Little Whore House in Texas" (Shy), "Lydie Breeze" (Gussie) and "A Little Hotel on the Side" (Victoire). In Los Angeles, she won a Dramalogue award for her performance as "Lulu" in the Wedekind play, of the same name. Michael Ann has also co-written a full-length feature film, "Posing as Bardot", and wrote, produced and starred in the short film, Sexy Space Sirens from Siberon (2001), that debuted at the Slamdance and Lapdance film festivals in Park City, Utah.
