Sherry Mattson is originally from Huntington Beach, CA. She fell in love with acting in college. She was in the repertory at Orange Coast College, took theatre classes at UC Irvine, and then went on to study at the South Coast Repertory Conservatory as well as act in local theatre productions in Orange County.
Sherry continued acting in many theatre productions after she moved to Los Angeles, notably at Theatre Neo. She wrote and produced her first short film, Plugged In, in 2002, and got her first taste of the film festival circuit. In 2012, she added directing to her resume with I Love You, Eddie Deezen, which she also wrote and produced. She had always wanted to work with one of her comedy idols and was ecstatic that the stars aligned, literally. Sherry won the Best New Director award at the New York International Independent Film Festival in 2013.
TV appearances include "The Middleman," "People Magazine Investigates," and "In Ice Cold Blood." Sherry can be seen in many TV commercials, independent films, and online projects. She is a consistent audience favorite for her role in the independent film, "Tin Can," which had immense success on the festival circuit in 2018-2019.
Sherry also owns the clothing and accessories company, Rudechix, which provided her the wonderful opportunity to travel to conventions and tournaments around the U.S. She earned an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing in 2011 from Cal State LA.
A 2019 graduate of the Second City Hollywood Conservatory Program, in addition to honing her improv skills, she learned to write and perform sketch comedy. She started an improv team in 2020 called Hot Potatoes with all Second City Hollywood performers.
