Mitch Jacobson is a producer, director and editor with 40 years experience in broadcast television, live-streaming and agency/corporate production. He is the owner of Category Five Studios, a boutique editing and DaVinci color suite in New York City and approved Netflix Content and Delivery Partner.
Mitch's credits include documentary concert films for superstar artists like The Rolling Stones, U2, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney. His contributions have garnered two Primetime Emmy® nominations for best music/variety program. He is also a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild (MPEG 700) New York/Hollywood, IBEW 1212 Broadcast Engineers Union and CSI Colorist Society International.
Mitch Jacobson is also an educator, mentor and published author of the textbook Mastering Multi-Camera Techniques: From Pre-Production to Editing and Deliverables (Focal Press) which has been released internationally and adopted by graduate school programs in the US and Canada. He is an Adjunct Professor at SVA School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and an authorized trainer for Blackmagic Davinci Resolve and Vizrt/NewTek TriCasters.
