Her first screen appearance was at age 10, where she played a mouse in a theatre production of Alice in Wonderland, within the film. Gina trained heavily as a competitive dancer in her youth, which would later lead her to an appearance on Season 6 of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. While in college for a BA in Theatre from Southern Connecticut State University, Gina was accepted into the Theatre in the Square Acting School in Manhattan and was nominated for an Irene Ryan Best Actress award by the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival for her role as Rose Murrant in Street Scene. Gina was a featured dancer on the reality show pilot FAME with stage and screen legend, Debbie Allen. During the NBC broadcast in 2004, Allen gave accolades to co-host Joey Fatone, of Gina, stating that "She's good! With that talent and determination, this girl is going to get anything she wants".

Gina has continued to make appearances nationally and internationally, on television and stage, as well as recorded voice-over and podcast performances. Gina can be seen in the workshop production of "It's Not My Party", conceived and written by Adam Battelstein, playing the role Penelope. Her print credits include CosmoGirl! and MAXIM magazines. Gina has appeared on Bull, Tales of the City, Madam Secretary, High Maintenance, The Deuce, Billions, The Blacklist, Younger, Orange Is The New Black, Big Dogs, Saturday Night Live, Manifest, Inside the Rain, Almost Family, Prodigal Son, Succession and many more.

Gina has been the stand-in and photo double for Felicity Jones for the Cle de Peau beauty campaign, years 2019 and 2020. She was featured and doubled as stand-in for Vivian (Lilli Stein) on the Amazon smash comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Gina also toured as principal dancer and rehearsal director for the American dance company Catapult Entertainment, top twelve finalists on Season 8 NBC's America's Got Talent . She is also a freelance dance artist for several performing dance companies, including the internationally acclaimed company, Pilobolus.
