MJ is a native New Yorker who graduated from St. Vincent Ferrer High School and New York University with a B.S. in Nursing. With forty years of professional performing experience, you might have seen her in the Broadway National Tours of "The Phantom of the Opera", "Disney's Beauty and the Beast", "Sister Act", and "All Shook Up". Her breakthrough was as Una, the Nazi bomb-maker with a penchant for red manicured nails in Hunters (2020) on Amazon Prime. She is a proud veteran, having served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, where she won a FORSOM Best Supporting Actress award for her portrayal of Louse/Gypsy in the Presidio Playhouse production of "Gypsy". As a founding artist of NYC's Musical Theatre Factory she received their inaugural "Builder Award". She lives in San Francisco with her musician husband, John Johnson.
