- South African supermodel. She started her career at the age of 14 and has been on the covers of GQ, FHM, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Shape magazines, and has frequently been shot for Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. Her big break came when she was featured in the 2003 Sports Illusrated swimsuit edition. She is one of the most recognizable names in South Africa.

In 1822, during Ireland's partition, her great-grandfather George Phoenix, who was a young Navy mechanic, left Ireland by boat with his uncle and traveled to South Africa. He married in South Africa, had a son named George, who had a son named Gavin, who had a daughter named Tanit. She is descended from both Irish and Dutch blood lines.
