Paul started his law enforcement career in the NYPD Police and then was a Detective with the Broward Sheriff's Office in south Florida; he started "acting" while working undercover vice and narcotics assignments in BSO. After retired from the BSO, he now pursues film acting full time.
Paul also uses his law enforcement experience as a Police Technical Advisor for film and literature projects and has spoken at several conferences and film festivals. He now lives in north Florida with his wife, writer Laura Salas-Schad, and their two sons.
