Born in Columbus, Ohio, she returned 18 years later to attend Denison
University, 45 minutes away from her birthplace. Her father is a
project engineer. Her mother is a Registered Nurse. She has one younger
sister (Dalah Nyx Ostara) and one younger brother (Owen). Her family
moved around from Ohio to Illinois, Pennsylvania to Kentucky, to settle
in Indiana. She began singing at age 7 and was a founding member of the
Indianapolis Youth Choir. That talent was useful for high school choral
and show choir groups as well as musicals. She started dance and flute
lessons by 6th grade, starting with ballet and adding tap,jazz,
piccolo, violin, and bells. In college she added piano, modern and
Irish dance. She graduated with a BFA in 1999, returning to
Indianapolis where she studied short and long form competitive improv
at the Comedy Sportz of Indianapolis. She moved to Los Angeles and
arrived on July 8th, 2001 to persue acting professionally. She added
bellydance and yoga to her movement study and joined SAG in 2003. She
produced her first short film, "Surprise!", for the 168 Hour Film
Festival in May 2005.
