As 2008 comes to a close, it's time for me to pick the flicks I hated most this year. It was pretty tough this year to pick these 10 primarily because I've seen so many films that sucked, but here's the final list:
10. College
Deb Hagan's "College" may not be the most disastrous film of 2008, but it sure stinks big time. This tale of three idiotic high school friends trying to hook up with girls during their first college visit is neither funny nor original, offering viewers nothing but scatological jokes, naked breasts and embarrassingly terrible dialogue. This one's a massive bore! Read more about it here.

The players: Director: Deb Hagan, Writers: Dan Callahan, Adam Ellison, Cast: Andrew Caldwell, Drake Bell, Kevin Covais, Alona Tal, Camille Mana
Facts of interest: Yeah, it's the Kevin Covais from "American Idol."
The plot: Three high school seniors don't know what they are in for when they visit a college campus to get drunk and get laid.
Our quick thoughts: This year’s summer season at the movies is coming to an end, and to thank us for rushing to some of the biggest blockbusters instead of spending our time lying by the pool, studios are now quickly and quietly releasing a bunch of trashy flicks not many of us really want to see. Well, thanks!

Making his feature film debut through teenage comedy "College", former "American Idol" finalist Kevin Covais will bare more than just his acting skills. The fifth season contestant who was nicknamed 'Chicken Little' has confessed that he will be seen taking off his clothes in one of the movie's scenes.
"I strip down to my underwear in the movie," the 19-year-old told MTV. He further joked about the appeal of his daring performance suggesting that it should be used for the promotional of the Deb Hagan-directed film. "Seriously, they should put that on the poster," he said. "See me stripped down to my tightie whities - how can people not go?"
Speaking out more about "College", he deemed that the adventures he faced in the movie are insane. "It really pushes some boundaries," he claimed. "We do body shots off of a guy, I think people are going...

College
Starring Drake Bell, Andrew Caldwell, and Kevin Covais
Directed by Deb Hagan
Rated R
There are two things that stand out about the new comedy College:
1) Most movies about the college experience have roughly the same sense of humor, although their execution varies wildly.
2) There are a lot more breasts than I expected.
Since the days of Animal House, the rules of college flicks really haven't changed all that much. There's debauchery, pranks, drunkenness (separate from the debauchery), skewered authority figures, arrogant frat boys who can neither spell nor adequately prepare for comeuppance, heroic geeky figures, and women.
There's never been a college comedy since Animal House to do it as well, but they still try. College's attempt is slightly different, but only in the smallest detail. You see, instead of college students experiencing the endless kegger, we have high school students on a college campus. It's...

This week's new films include the Western going Eastern, a couple of exotic music docs, Cinderella stories for girls and for boys and Vin Diesel attempting to walk, chew gum and shoot people -- all at the same time.
"Babylon A.D."
Second chances all around in this stylish cyberpunk romp that sees "La Haine" director Mathieu Kassovitz take another bite at the mainstream cherry after stumbling with his last detour into Hollywood, the Halle Berry clunker "Gothika." Vin Diesel, who passed on "Hitman" for this, also gets another shot at a potential franchise after eliciting a collective yawn with his Neo-lite performance in "The Chronicles of Riddick." After a troubled shoot fraught with budget overruns and uncooperative weather, Diesel has the bigger challenge on his hands as Toorop, a mercenary charged with trying to save the world with a snowboard while escorting a genetically altered young woman...
