Devin Maurer is a Los Angeles-based feature and commercial editor. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and Resource Management from UC Berkeley in 2000.
His editing career began in his hometown of Gig Harbor, WA, when he and his high school mates set out to make a series of ill-fated, renegade fly fishing documentaries. After earning a degree in Forestry and Resource Management from UC Berkeley, Devin became a founding member of the alt-bluegrass ensemble "The Fifth String Amendment". The band twice wine ABMA Song of the Year awards for 'Keep that Bush Trimmed and Burning' and 'She's Got Bob Marley In Her Pants'. Devin's first break came while working as a PA on the set on David Gordon Greene's 'Undertow'. Over the course of production, he shot and edited a warts-and-all documentary short, 'Under the Undertow', later acquired by United Artists and included on the DVD release of the film.
