Andrew Golder is a versatile professional narrator and vocalist with a diverse and rich background in music and theatre.
He trained at the Royal College of Music in London.
In the 80's, Andrew began his career in the UK, where he initially worked in music theatre, was soloist in concert recital and oratorio while simultaneously pursuing his passion for narration work in Soho's sound studios.
He became resident in France in the 90's and embarked on a successful freelance career as baritone opera and concert soloist, performing throughout Europe. He sang an extensive oratorio repertoire including Verdi's Requiem in Bayreuth, Brahms' Requiem in Monaco, and portrayed notable main opera roles, such as Wagner's Holländer (Flying Dutchman) and Verdi's Falstaff in Germany all to consistent critical acclaim.
Now resident in Vienna, Austria, Andrew has transitioned from his active career as a concert and opera singer. He focuses now on sharing his expertise (he is a classical voice trainer and English pronunciation consultant for the film industry) and continues to provide voiceover and narration services for the film, broadcast and theatre, including numerous international versions of educational, political and natural history documentaries.
His private recording studio allows him to deliver online broadcast-quality narrations worldwide, under Andrew Golder Narration. These cater to a broad range of projects for international clients, including corporate image and training videos, commercials, public information films, art gallery and museum audio guides, educational and e-Learning films, motivational films, audio books, and characterisations for video games such as the award-winning 'The Forgotten City'.
Andrew was nominated for the Voice of the Year at the 2018 Stockholm Sound Award for his narration.
Recent projects have included the current audio guide app Domkirche St. Stephan (Stephansdom / St. Stephan's Cathedral), and a recorded background narration for Musiktheatertage's "Heilger Zorn/ detuned" staged in 2023 in Vienna.
