- Jesse Wells Martin was born in Washington, DC and grew up as a teenager listed in Who's Who in America having a parent who was a Pulitzer Prize Winning White House News Photographer. Jesse's saturated early media exposure led him to study and graduate with a Bachelor's degree specializing in Film and Television. Shortly after graduating, Jesse co-founded Columbia Video Productions and Produced for PBS a documentary entitled; Thurgood Marshall: Portrait of an American Hero and was acknowledged as an Outstanding Young Man of America.
Jesse's love of travel and exploring historical lands led him to travel to Europe where he did modeling work and upon his return home he became an international airline crew member. Jesse continued producing entertainment where the media heralded him as a "cultural preservationist" as he produced family friendly entertainment for Walt Disney World, Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, City of Los Angeles, City of Inglewood and school districts in North Carolina and Los Angeles.
On-going frequent visits to Europe and participation in the Festival of Fantastic Films in Manchester, England led Jesse to be honored with an honorary Society of Fantastic Films International Award (S.O.F.F.I. A.) for his re-inventing himself and taking on humanitarian causes as the "Guru-of Goodwill" and producing entertainment celebrating world culture. Jesse holds with great esteem his entrance into the feature film making arena while in LA with profitable collaborations with Producer Kira Madallo Sesay turning out multiple films in the horror, urban comedy, and western genres. Jesse continued Associate Producing varied gospel films to wide successes.
Jesse has been applauded on German's SAT-1 TV, Entertainment Tonight, and appeared in People Magazine and a host of newspapers across the country. Publishing letters from students nationally, Jesse launched his own weekly family values newspaper column entitled: The Flying Sleuth in The Thomasville Times.
Considering it a call-to-duty, Jesse was deployed by The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a first responder in the Hurricane Sandy incident where he functioned as an Assistant Manager at the News Desk conferring with international media to include BBC, CNN, HLN, ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, New York Times, LA Times. and Wall Street Journal to name a few.
