Michael Monsour grew up on a ranch in Chalk Mountain, Texas, 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth. While growing up doing what rural Texans do, riding horses and bailing hay, Michael stumbled upon a love for the arts. He started at Granbury Opera House doing equity theater at the age of 12 and acting in his high school plays. After graduating college, Michael moved to Austin, Texas, where he discovered his true love of film making. Michael has been in films that have opened SXSW and world premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. He worked with Richard Linklater in "Everybody Wants Some" (2016), as a recurring character in Jody Hill's "The Righteous Gemstones" (2019), appeared in Rami Malek produced "Blackout" (2020), and recently in Barnaby Clay's directorial debut "The Seeding" (2023). Michael is also active honing his other passion, stand up comedy, hosting and producing stand up shows across the country.
