On March 12, 1973, Alexey A. Petrukhin was born in Moscow region,
Russia. While studying at high school, he went in for sports, that's
why after graduating from high school, Alexey entered the Russian State
Academy of Physical Culture. In 2002 he graduated from the Moscow State
Juridical University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian
Federation and started to work in movie business. At the same time
Petrukhin was studying Acting at the Acting Mastership Courses. In 2005
he was awarded the degree of the Doctor of Juridical Science at the
All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of the MIA of RF. The first
motion picture, in which Alexey Petrukhin participated not only as a
producer, but as an actor too, was the movie "Jacked$" (2004). Russian
mass media published a record number of reviews pertaining to this
movie: 1,123 articles. That movie was followed by a blockbuster titled
"Velvet Revolution" (2005). Then a Georgian motion picture "The Last
Quest" was released in February 2008. At present Petrukhin is a
producer and one of the stars in an ambitious international projects
"Viy" (a motion picture, based on the first manuscript of a classical
work by N.V. Gogol). Besides, Alexey is also getting ready for the
shooting of his debut as a film director - a tragic farce "To Be or Not
To Be" (based on William Shakespeare's "Hamlet").
