- Cousin of Elbert Watson (former dancer Alvin Ailey) and Benjamin Watson (New England Patriots and Cleveland Brown tight end).
- Started writing songs at the age of eight. Has written over 100 songs. Wrote a song "Oh No Boy" for Alicia Keys in 2000.

- Was a principle dancer in the same company (Tidewater Ballet Company) with Broadway actress and singer Veanne Cox and New York City Ballet principle ballerina Yvonne Borree who retired from the company on June, 2010 after 22 years.
