Eva du Preez has been working in the South African film and television industry since 2012 as Producer, Script Supervisor and Editor.
Eva started her editing career in 2012 with a tv series called Die Boland Moorde, for which she was nominated for a SAFTA for Editing. She made her producing debut in 2013 with the multi- award winning short film "Toevlug", directed by Christiaan Olwagen. From there she applied herself to all aspects of the South African television industry, combining script supervision/continuity, with post-production and editing on reality and drama formats. These include Jan Braai, Die Byl, Die Boland Moorde S1& S2, Die Boekklub S1&S2, Alles Malan, Fynskrif S1, S2 & S3, Die Leeftyd van 'n Orgidee, Grys and Gebles. In 2015 she shifted her attention to feature films, working alongside Christiaan Olwagen as script supervisor/continuity on the multi-award winning film Johnny is nie Dood nie. After the success of the film, 2016 saw Eva editing her first Feature Film, Kanarie. She was awarded Best Editing for Kanarie at the 2018 kykNET Silwerskermfees and again in 2019 for Poppie Nongena.
