Sagynbek Ishenov(1934-2024)

Sagynbek Ishenov is a People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR and founder of Kyrgyz animation, artist. After graduating from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow in 1961, Sagynbek Ishenov began working as an artist at the Kyrgyzfilm film studio. In 1966, Ishenov became a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR, and in 1967 - the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1976, he was appointed head of the created "Kyrgyzmultfilm" at the "Kyrgyzfilm" film studio and the first Kyrgyz cartoon 'The Numbers argue' was released. Thanks to his tireless work, he created more than 700 works of art throughout his career. No matter what field Sagynbek Ishenov worked in, he did not leave the art of painting, nurturing his extraordinary talent from nature, picked up a brush and created masterpieces.
