X-Men: First Class is now a week away from release and (courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter) we have three images which will surely whip up some X-citement, particularly amongst those male fans.
Mad Men’s January Jones is bad guy Sebastian Shaw’s second-in-command, and as you can see from her Bond-esque 60’s bodysuit, fur-shoulder number and her scantily-clad get-up, she doesn’t need to use any of her mutant powers to ensnare the enemy.
Each look has been created by costumer designer Samantha Sheldon, and her all-white, stunning array of costumes can’t help but conjure up the perfect visual representation of her character’s name in the film (Emma Frost).
It’s enough to make Wolverine’s adamantium claws melt.

Rejoice! The Hollywood Reporter released the first photos of her sultry and attractive outfits of January Jones’ Emma Frost in the upcoming comic book film “X-Men: First Class.” THR described that one outfit has a “satiny push up bra, modified high-thigh boots (they can be worn outside, but also have the illusion of lacey thigh-highs on top) and a sheer cape with fur trim.” And don’t forget her simple, tight leather bodysuit that shows off her curves. Director Matthew Vaughn praised the costume designer Samantha Sheldon for creating a superhero sixties attire with a little bit of James Bond. In the next issue of THR, the magazine will publish more photos of the X-Men costumes. Here is the official synopsis from Twentieth Century Fox: “Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names of Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.

"Freaks and Geeks" is now airing on IFC, and we thought we'd take this opportunity to revisit the show that launched a thousand bromance movies. Every week, Matt Singer and Alison Willmore will be offering their thoughts on that night's episode.
Episode 9
We've Got Spirit
Directed by Danny Leiner
Written by Mike White
"Cheerleaders have to date athletes. It's the law." -- Neil
Matt: The stories of "Freaks and Geeks" are stories of the high school underclass. But with "We've Got Spirit," the tenuous armistice that's held for eight episodes between the burnouts and dweebs and their social betters erupts into full-blown class warfare. The athletically indifferent freaks discover their school spirit during a series of skirmishes -- water balloons, spray paint, fist fights -- with jocks from rival school Lincoln High (we can tell they're not freaks by their varsity jackets).
Meanwhile, Sam becomes the McKinley High mascot in...

I saw Zooey Deschanel sing before I saw her act. It was at a pre-Oscars house party in Los Angeles in 2002 or 2003. Deschanel and another actress, Samantha Shelton, had formed a duo called If All The Stars Were Pretty Babies—taken from the title of a 1926 song by Billy Rose and Fred Fisher—and were performing occasional gigs around town. That night, they were the evening’s entertainment. Dressed in vintage Flapper-ware, they sang jazz standards and chestnuts from the 20s, 30s and 40s, and, to use a word from those times, were simply beguiling. Then came Elf, and the realization—a little late on my part, perhaps—that Deschanel could act as well. Her disarming performance as Jovie is one of the main reasons that Elf is a perennial holiday favorite in my household along with the original animated version of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas and...
