Luis de Casas

Luis Manuel de Casas Hernández is a Venezuelan/Spanish multi instrumental musician and sound engineer, born on February 13th 1983, in Caracas, Venezuela and currently residing in Barcelona, Spain.
At the age of 15, he started playing the drums and joined the School Theater Group to become its Musical Director in several plays. He was awarded with Best Original Music Composition for the plays:
At CINATES theater festival in CELARG and Ateneo de Caracas.
After graduating from high school, he went to study Music Composition at Escuela de Música ARS NOVA (Caracas, Venezuela -2000 / 2006). He was a drummer for Buffalo Mad, a hard rock band he co-founded with his friend and guitarist Geronimo "El Mono" Egea in 2006. In 2008 he became the lead singer until 2012 when the band decided to make their last show. Buffalo Mad was the first South American band to have a song included ("Muéstrame un Poco") in the internet platform of the video game RockBand(TM).
He was also drummer for Alban Arthuan, Freyah, La Fe, CAPOS, Grupo de Gaitas Colegio Claret and Grupo de Gaitas Academia Merici. Worked as drum tech for Venezuelan bands Malanga, EntreNos, Aditus and songwriter and composer Frank Quintero.
In 2015 he moved to Barcelona, Spain where he studied Audio Engineering at SAE Institute. He became friends with classmate Juan Tolentino and both founded hard rock band Awkward Presidents and sound production company, The Base Sound Creations.
