- Frankie Goes to Hollywood were enormously successful in 1984. Their first single, "Relax", was playlisted by BBC Radio One and then banned by the corporation because of its lyrics and video. It went to the no. 1 position in the British chart and stayed on the chart for a remarkable 48 weeks. Their second single, "Two Tribes", also went to number one and stayed in the charts for an impressive 21 weeks. Their third single, "The Power of Love", topped the chart in December.
